Morgan Alspaugh and Samuel Sonnier Named Commended Scholars in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program

Ascension Episcopal School is proud to announce that Morgan Alspaugh and Samuel Sonnier have been named Commended Scholars in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.
About 34,000 Commended Scholars across the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Morgan and Samuel are among the top 50,000 students nationwide who entered the 2026 competition by taking the 2024 PSAT/NMSQT. Their remarkable performance demonstrates their scholastic talent, and we are so proud of their achievements.
According to a spokesperson for NMSC, “Those being named Commended Scholars have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success.”
