Ascension students participate in technology internship to support faculty and friends

Ascension Episcopal School
Ascension does more than just teach students to use technology; it also empowers them to help others who require technical assistance. We would like to introduce the following 2021-2022 Technology Support Interns: Andrew Curtis, Graham McCarthy, Savannah Simon, Abby Domingue, Beau Domengeaux.

These interns have a more active role in providing technical support than in years past. From creating tutorials, sharing educational resources, and assisting with various technical issues on our Sugar Mill Pond Campus, these young men and women act as an extension of our technology department.  “These students are going out of their way to provide technical assistance in the classroom, leading to less wait time for help,” says Kristen Angelle, Technology Support Internship teacher and Technology Integration Specialist.

Additionally, when our Help Desk interns are not helping others, they delve into Individual Learning Endeavors of their choosing, such as a deep dive into Python programming, tinkering with a Raspberry Pi, exploring interior design apps, and mastering the 3D printer.

We are thankful for these students’ leadership and enthusiasm in assisting Ascension’s Technology Department.
