Ascension Kicker Selected for 2023 Under Armour Next All-America Game

LAFAYETTE, LA - November 3, 2022 - Peyton Woodring is one of only 100 high school football players across the nation to be selected by ESPN recruiting to participate in the 2023 Under Armour Next All-America Game. Today, Ascension Episcopal School senior Peyton Woodring was presented with his commemorative 2023 Under Armour Next All-America Game jersey during a special presentation to recognize his selection to high school football’s premier all-star showcase event. With his career-long 56-yard field goal, Peyton Woodring currently holds Ascension Episcopal School’s kicking record. 

During his junior year, Woodring was named 1st Team All-District, All-State, All-American honoree, and earned top charts at Khol’s Kicking Camp. In addition to excelling on the field, this year, he is a member of the Composite Academic All-State Team for maintaining a 4.0 overall GPA. Woodring's current season consists of scoring 34 out of 35 extra points, making 7 out of 10 field goals, and kicking a 54-yard season-long field goal with one final regular season game played tomorrow at home. 

Over its 14-year history, the Under Armour Next All-America Game has produced many of football’s best collegiate and professional players.  Since 2008, the game has served as a proving ground for the NFL stars of tomorrow.
