Upper School Student Club Partners with the Gifting Grace Project
Ascension Episcopal School
In recognition of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) Club, an organization of upper school students, collected Student Care Kits, including first aid kits, vitamins, and Christmas presents. Collected items were given to Mr. David Owens of the Gifting Grace Project to benefit homeless students in Lafayette parish.
Encouraging students to give back to the community around them is an integral part of living out our core values: gentle, generous, truthful, kind, and brave.
According to their website, HOSA is a global student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services, and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community, through education, collaboration, and experience.
Thanks for giving back to your community in such a tangible way, Blue Gators!
The Episcopal Church of the Ascension School (Ascension Episcopal School) admits qualified students without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin. We are a welcoming community.
