2020-01-06 / Congressional App Challenge

Innovation + Technology students won the "Community Connector" award for their Geaux Alert app, a part of the Congressional App Challenge presented to them by Mayor-President Joel Robideaux. Ascension's middle school team, directed by Morgan Vondenstein, consisted of Noah J., Samantha M, Clara N., and Braxton G. Their team was one of 11 teams in the state competing. The Congressional App Challenge is a district-wide challenge hosted by members of our U.S. House of Representatives to encourage middle and high school students to learn to code and inspire them to pursue careers in computer science. We are so very proud of our students' commitment, perseverance, and growth through this project.
