Louisiana Association of Student Councils Convention

Eight Middle School Student Council members traveled to Pineville High School this weekend for the 70th annual Louisiana Association of Student Councils Convention: United We Stand. Students voted for LASC's State Offices, listened and learned from guest speakers, networked with student leaders from all around Louisiana, and collaborated with their local council to share ideas and inspiration! They participated in several contests (essay, poster, photography, and school flag) and were awarded for celebrating Student Council Week on our downtown campus!

Here are a few of their takeaways:
Be brave
Dream it; Do it
Let you be you
Celebrate and use your gifts
Share your gifts with others
Don't compare
QTIP - Quit Taking It Personally
EGO - Edging God Out
We are all "better than good"
Count our blessings & help others

Thank you to our Middle School Student Council for representing Ascension and Acadiana's District V so strongly. And a big thank you to Student Council sponsor, Heather Gros, and cosponsors Danielle Bacque and Neekee McDonald. You are a great example of leadership to our students!
