• Upper School Custodian

  The Custodian’s primary role is to ensure that each school day, all facilities have been properly cleaned up to organizational standards. This is a hands-on position that works alongside other custodial staff, providing these services as required. This position reports directly to the Lead Custodian on site, and is expected to have a strong line of communication with that individual.
  
  

  This position must maintain a steady workflow and ensure that all tasks are accomplished thoroughly and complete, and must be punctual and responsible with arrival and breaks.
  
  DAILY DUTIES

  • Dust mop all classrooms, office spaces, and/or areas assigned
  • Wet mop all classroom and office spaces as determined (4-5 spaces per day/once a week)
  • Remove trash, liners must be changed if any food products are in the bins
  • Check restrooms for toilet tissue/paper towels/soap and ensure products are always stocked
  • Clean all sinks and restroom fixtures daily and as needed during the day
  • Clean all mirrors 
  • Mop all restroom floors daily and as needed during the day
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs
  • Clean windows
  • Exterior cleaning of building and grounds as necessary
  • Assist with moving items between classrooms or offices
  • Other duties as assigned

• Substitute Application

  Ascension Episcopal School is currently seeking substitutes for part-time interim employment during the school year for our preschool, lower school, middle school and upper school classes.
  
  Preschool consists of grades PK3-K and is located in River Ranch. Lower School (grades 1-4) and Middle School (grades 5-7) divisions are located on our Downtown Lafayette Campus. Upper school serves grades 8-12 and is located at our Sugar Mill Pond Campus in Youngsville.
  
  Substitute teachers help provide meaningful instruction for assigned classrooms in absence of the regular teacher.
  
  Hiring is conditional upon passing all stages and completion of a background and reference check. Candidates selected for an interview will receive communication through email. Candidates selected for hire will need to connect with our business office and present documents for the I-9 form. Typical documents are a valid passport, social security card or a driver’s license.
