Why Ascension?

At Ascension Episcopal School, BALANCE is a priority. High standards are not reserved for academics only. Students also grow, thrive, and excel in arts, athletics, and Christian values through opportunities, acceptance, and support.

Dear Prospective Families,

Welcome to Ascension!  I am glad you have taken the time to learn more about our school. Ascension is a PK3-12 school that is committed to academic excellence in a Christian environment. A parish school founded in 1959 as an outreach of The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, we strive to instill our core values of gentleness, generosity, truthfulness, kindness, and bravery into each of our students.

Our caring and devoted faculty are committed to helping our students reach their maximum potential. They seek to foster a love of learning that will prepare our students for college and life beyond. Our faculty also nurture traits such as character, empathy, and compassion. We want our graduates to be successful, not only in college, but in their careers, callings, and communities.

I am proud of our school, and it is a privilege to call it home. I hope that you will come to feel the same way.

When it comes to our children, one of the most important gifts we can provide for them is opportunity. It not only prepares them for their future but also gives them the independence to discover and define who they are: who they want to be. Our faculty and staff focus on developing the whole child, with a curriculum designed to teach lifelong learning skills.
