Academics at Ascension

Our Philosophy

From the very beginning, Ascension’s goal has been to teach lifelong learning skills, while adapting the curriculum to meet the varying formative stages present within each student.
Whether referring to our nurturing faculty or our small class sizes, Ascension Episcopal School strives to honor each student’s learning style, provide support and assistance as needed, and actively seek parental support in all endeavors. In doing so, we foster an environment of supportive learning that extends beyond the classroom walls, encouraging our students to be independent thinkers who are held accountable at each developmental stage. Our students thrive in an environment that promotes authentic learning through meaningful projects with technology to support classroom instruction.

National Merit Scholars

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation's (NMSC) mission is to recognize and honor the academically talented students of the United States. Through its nationwide academic competition, a select few scholars are chosen as scholarship finalists. We are proud of our Ascension students who were finalists in this prestigious program.

Accreditation

Ascension Episcopal School is dually accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools (SAES).

Associations

Ascension Episcopal School is proud to be members of the National Association of Independent Schools and the National Association of Episcopal Schools.

When it comes to our children, one of the most important gifts we can provide for them is opportunity. It not only prepares them for their future but also gives them the independence to discover and define who they are: who they want to be. Our faculty and staff focus on developing the whole child, with a curriculum designed to teach lifelong learning skills.
