Ascension Students Honor Louisiana Through Visual Arts

Ascension Episcopal School
Eight middle and upper school art students displayed their "Unsung Heroes of Louisiana Ecosystems: Flora and Fauna" masterpieces in the Youth Art Showcase at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Although the finished product is significant, students also learned about the process of submitting work and writing artist statements to describe their creations.

When it comes to our children, one of the most important gifts we can provide for them is opportunity. It not only prepares them for their future but also gives them the independence to discover and define who they are: who they want to be. Our faculty and staff focus on developing the whole child, with a curriculum designed to teach lifelong learning skills.
