Ascension senior Madeleine Sorrell has been named a 2023 National Merit FINALIST!
Of the 1.5 million national applicants, only about 15,000 students advance to Finalist status. Selection is based on academic record, school and community activities participation, leadership demonstrated, and honors received. Finalists represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors and are the highest-scoring entrants in each state.
Madeleine earned a 36 on her ACT, is an AP Scholar with Distinction, is Ascension’s Academic Prefect, is a theatre star, and is an impressive volleyball player. She now advances for consideration to become a National Merit Scholar, one of the highest academic honors.
The Episcopal Church of the Ascension School (Ascension Episcopal School) admits qualified students without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation, or national origin. We are a welcoming community.
