The third-seeded Ascension Episcopal Blue Gators defeated No. 14 Vermilion Catholic 4-0 in a Division IV regional boys soccer playoff game in Youngsville for their second shutout of the playoffs and fourth of the season.

"We haven't had many clean sheets," Blue Gators coach Ricardo Caliman said. "We like to play an offensive style of soccer. Tonight, we started with a low block and were more defensive-minded. When we felt it was time to step up (offensively), our wingers did a good job."
