Eighth Grader McAllister Morrow Wins Louisiana State Tennis Title

Ascension Episcopal School
Lafayette, LA — Ascension Episcopal School’s McAllister Morrow made history this week, capturing the LHSAA Division IV Girls’ Tennis Singles State Championship—as an eighth grader.

Morrow dominated the competition throughout the tournament, culminating in a commanding 6-1, 6-2 victory over Paras Odudu of St. Frederick in the championship match. With that win, she not only secured her first high school state title but also extended her unbelievable streak to 109 consecutive games won this season.
Already recognized as one of the most promising young players in the state, Morrow has turned heads on the court all year with her poise, athleticism, and competitive drive—traits well beyond her years. She qualified for the state tournament as the Region 3 champion, after defeating Scout Helveston of Episcopal School of Acadiana in the regional finals.

McAllister’s championship win marks a defining moment in what’s shaping up to be a standout tennis career. Ranked nationally on TennisRecruiting.net and already facing—and beating—much older opponents, she has established herself as a rising star not only in Louisiana but across the junior tennis landscape.

As just an eighth grader, McAllister Morrow’s name is now etched in the LHSAA record books, and her incredible 109-game winning streak is a testament to her talent, training, and tenacity.
