Blue Gators cruise to first-round soccer playoff victory
Connor Edmond and Dylan Lapoint scored two goals apiece in Ascension Episcopal's 5-1 win over Calvary Baptist in a first-round Division IV boys soccer playoff game Saturday in Youngsville.
The No. 9-seeded Blue Gators (16-5-3) will travel to No. 8 Metairie Park Country Day (10-6-6) in the regional round. Country Day eliminated No. 25 Dunham 2-1 on Friday.
